Job Description

Charity Solicitor
London
£70,000 - £90,000
W/29396

Charity Solicitor– This a rare opportunity for an experienced charity law specialist to step into a senior role with a fast developing department, led by 2 prominent and industry leading figures. The firm is internationally recognised as a leading authority in Charity Law. They advise more than 500 UK and international charities, social enterprises, and other not-for-profit organisations on legal and strategic matters, governance, and a wide range of day-to-day compliance issues.

About the Role
They are seeking a candidate with a strong background in charity law who can advise a wide range of social enterprises, charities, and faith-based organisations on legal, governance, and regulatory matters. The role involves working on charity establishment and incorporation, trustee support, property and development matters, legacies, philanthropy, mergers, restructures, and social investment, offering exposure to both advisory and transactional work across the not-for-profit sector. It is heavily property-focused, particularly involving religious organisations, town and parish councils, grant makers, and impact investment advisory. Much of the property work relates to charitable trusts and land governance, with the largest clients being trust corporations that manage land for churches.

Candidate Requirements
They are seeking a qualified Solicitor (5 PQE+) or someone with relevant experience in charity law or a similar field, who has a solid understanding of the not-for-profit and charity regulatory landscape. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and client-care skills, a proactive and collaborative approach, and a genuine interest in supporting mission-driven organisations.

On Offer
Long term career prospects are excellent with this progressive, forward thinking practice. This is a great opportunity to join a well-managed firm with plenty of goodwill. They offer a fantastic salary, benefits package, flexible working and support within a wonderful team.
