Court of Protection Lawyer - This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious COP lawyer looking to take the next pivotal step in their career with this highly regarded, full service, North Kent firm.
About the Role
The team act for individuals who need sound legal advice and guidance during a difficult time in their lives. This could be due to learning disabilities, mental health problems, old age or clients who have suffered severe brain injuries and are incapable of making financial decisions.
Reporting to the head of the department; you will be managing your own caseload of COP matters as well as client affairs on behalf of the Deputy or Receiver. This may include attending client properties to conduct inventory and insurance inspections, management of bills and financial payments, tax matters and general correspondence for the client.
They are looking to recruit a c.3-6 PQE Court of Protection solicitor or legal executive with a solid track record and a good understanding of all general private client matters.
You will need to show excellent verbal and written communication, strong academics and a meticulous eye for detail as well as a compassionate client facing manner.
